19th and 20th July 2021 - virtual teacher training Sabel School, Munich, Germany.

Teacher training was conducted on line with Florian Schröder and his UNITY team of SABEL Schools. All worked well and the teachers had access to all the materials they needed in advance and throughout the sessions.

It was an excellent two days. Everyone participated fully and many positive suggestions were made. We analysed the modules and the delivery methods/timings of the sessions and I gave advice on how this could be done in partnership with the team.The teachers were extremely forthcoming with ideas and suggestions and we worked really well together to make it work for them, the pupils and Sabel.

Florian and his team have all sent testimonials about the training and a photo of the team, I am now in direct contact with them to assist them with planning the sessions, the order, delivery methods and have requested them to give me feedback on the start of UNITY in September with 5th grade.

This is now a long term relationship and one that will develop over the next few years, it is very exciting and we all enjoyed the training. The teachers are very experienced and we exchanged many great ideas, it was a pleasure to meet them all and I look forward to the next phase. It is so exciting!

Hello Sharen,

thank you for the two great days. I felt very comfortable with you from the first second. You introduce yourself with wit and charm and an immense philanthropy. Every fiber of your existence spills over to us in Germany via video conference. For me, you live and love what you do. It is always a great enrichment for me to meet such people.

The Unity program is a tremendous asset to this world. I am proud to be part of it. It will be good for the children.

There was no language barrier for me. You were understood very well and I was able to understand everything well. We gave each other great support with individual words. The group was and worked perfect!

For me you responded well to us individuals, repeatedly addressed the individual participants, brought them on board, and always allowed and integrated the individual talents and opinions.

The lessons are more or less self-explanatory. Nevertheless, it was extremely helpful for me that you shared your experiences with us in order to internalize the entire philosophy of Unity. We also achieved good results together with the differentiation for the different grades and adapted the lessons. It was nice for me that you reacted so positively to our suggestions.

It was shocking for me how big the problems are in the UK. There are many things that I have not yet been very familiar with. Thanks for the insight and learning from each other together.

It was important that we took the time for each other. Thank you for your time. See you soon!

Dear Sharen

With tremendous steps we get into the very practical work of UNITY. It will start this September as an additional subject at SABEL school.

In order to roll it out we had a two day teacher training with Sharen Ravat. She explained the moduels which she wrote with Riaz in the most professional manner.

It became very clear to us that we start something very special for our students. Many fruitful discussions were taken, plans adjusted, dialouge practiced.

For me personally it was deeply satisfaying to see the whole team on fire to go for it.

Getting different perspectives from different countries, from people with different backround who work so dedicated together shows diversity in its best way.

Imagine children: strong, self-confident, critical yet warm-hearted and open-minded to others. Standing their ground in times of post-facts and withstanding the temptations of radical solutions in a world consuming simple black or white-answers. In fact we share this vision for our pupils in the UNITY-Team, a program to supply our Kids with the tools they need to live a good live in an open society. The cooperation between the Leicester College and our SABEL-school is a great forum to set this splendid vision into life and for me it´s a pleasure to take part.
